Odds and Ends...

It's been a crazy week! Over the weekend we went to Philadelphia and met up with some friends (Chau and Chris) and family (our niece Candice). We had a blast.

Also, today we opened our home to a Japanese foreign exchange student. It is something that Joe and I have always wanted to do and we are very excited to have her. So now, not only do I have a pre-schooler at home but a teenager as well! I will post more about this later.

I leave you now with pictures from Philly:

Oh, to be a newlywed again! Seems like we went from newlyweds to parents in a blink of the eye!

What lovely photos!I never realized it before, but Leah looks a lot like you.

I look forward to reading about what it is like having a teenager in the house.

Leah is adorable - and possibly a budding artist. Good luck with the new addition!

Beautiful pictures - Leah's a happy looking kid (and her mom looks pretty happy, too!).

Enjoy your student!! I used to chaperone Japanese college students overseas (from Japan, that is), and they can be a lot of fun.

Have fun with your new teenager. It's been a year since our exchange student returned home to Norway. We still keep in contact via email. :-)

Lovely pics! Looks like a fun time.

Good for you for hosting an exchange student. One day I hope to also. My aunt and uncle have done it for many years and actually have a specific room in their house for their international visitors.

Keep smilin!

Notice Leah's face has a perfect ittle heart painted on it and yours has a perfect portrait painted on it. Obviusly Leah likes using many colors.
The day sounds like fun and let me know how you like having a teenager around, if it works out I'll send you two more.
