Awake

Ok, so let's see...I am now going on night number sixteen of almost NO sleep.
  • June 3 - 9th - tried to sleep next to my ever turning and kicking daughter while in Hawaii.
  • June 10 - 13th jet lag and pain from the blockage of my eustachian tubes in my ears helps to keep me awake
  • June 14th - severe migranie which I fall alseep with at 9 p.m. and wake up with ten times worse at 1 a.m.
  • June 15th - tonight - now being heavily medicated for the tube drainage and have developed lovely post nasal drip and cough whenever I lay down.

Typing this at 12:33 a.m. Needless to say, I am not a happy camper. I want sleep.

On the bright side, I did read The Undomestic Goddess in two nights. It was very predictable, but a fun read anyway. Maybe I should just pick up another book.

I hope you get some rest very soon. I know how frustrating and debilitating that can be.

Sorry Steph. Don't you just love when you get more than one thing going on at once and it keeps you up for days?

Hang in there woman. Sounds like things aren't so great. Read a really boring book that may help.

Oh! I can relate trust me! I have gotten very few really good uninterupted nights of sleep in six years, I'm serious! No wonder I need a nap everyday! lol

I second the tylenol pm. It really puts you asleep. If I have a migraine and I feel sick to my stomach I take it will milk so it stays down. It's gotten me through some very bad nights. If you need another good book I just finished The Other Boleyn girl. Check it out on Amazon. It's a long one but I could not put it down. I am reading the Red Tent now on your recomendation. Both books make me wonder how these women were brave enough to give birth before epidurals and good medical care. I couldn't have done it. Hope you feel better. :)Ariel

Ugh, I know how debilitating that is. Have you tried Ambien?

It's amazing, isn't it, the amount of sleep you can do without? I never knew I could survive on four broken hours of sleep for 6 months before my son. Here's wishing sweet dreams soon.
I loved visiting your blog btw. Great writing and pictures.

Well since I have been off to visit Elia in person last week, and worked all this week, I am kinda a little behind in life including Blogging. I read a whole page of thread info on you though so...I am sorry to hear you have been sick. I love your Birthday gift, and Happy Birthday, and if that is a messy cupboard then i "ain't ahowing you guys any of mine". LOL

Hope you are feeling lots better, and get that kitchen and the new window just the way you like it.

I posted a really cute video I got from my daughte from the First Sunday home with Elia when everyone thought she was still at the orphanage. .

If you have a minute go take a look. I love it and still can;'t watch it without crying, but now at least they are all happy tears. I had a ownderful time visitng, and of course have lots more pictures etc.
