Corners of My Home #6
This is just a little glimpse of one of my favorite spots in my home - the bookshelf. It is overstuffed with some of my most loved reads and many books that I haven't even gotten to yet.
My husband and I are huge Harry Potter fans. Years ago, before Leah was born, I would read the Harry Potter books to Joe. It was a nightly ritual that we both really enjoyed. Since having our daughter, we haven't been able to read the last two books together (I read both on my own and Joe listened them on "books on CD" in the car). Along with all of our Harry Potter books, we have one entirely in Chinese. Joe and I found it while in San Diego about five years ago. We were shopping in a Asian market and when we saw it, we just had to buy it. Hey, maybe he should be reading this one out loud to me!

I absolutely LOVE the Harry Potter books! If you don't have time to actually sit down and read, you really should listen to the audio versions. They are great!
I have the same problem. I don't have the time and/or attention span to sit and read...I would like to read the Harry Potter books...someday!

Neat to see Harry Potter in Chinese..
I devoured the first two HP books, then kind of got stuck in the 3rd one, and then our daughter came along and, well, need I say more? Someday I will buy the whole lot and read 'em cover to cover. Maybe when little J is old enough to read them with me.
Can I tell you that it PAINS me that the LAST Harry Potter is in the works... I can't bear it!!!
I am one of the few who have never read a harry potter book yet.....shame on me!!
I LOVE your bookcases!
Hey, the way things are going, maybe book #7 will come out before we get our referral and I'll have all the time in the world to read it. (thinking of silver linings)
I'm actually embarrassed to say how many times I've read them.
Love the bookshelves as well as the Harry Potter books.
I love Harry Potter books and I don't care who knows it. I can't wait until Alyzabeth gets old enough to enjoy my reading them to her.

OK - I am afraid to admit that I have not read any of the Harry Potter books. I know, I know. But I wanted to say that I love this whole "corners" theme. I keep meaning to start this. I already have the first corner picked out. I'll give you a hint - torn wallpaper from three years ago when I had a 5 minute urge to get rid of it. Nice.
That reminds me, I am way behind on my "corner" segments. Your house looks like mine. Books, books ane more books. That's what happens when you marry a college english professor I guess. That Chinese Harry Potter book is so cool!
Love the bookshelves - looks very homey (sp?).
My bookshelf is one of my favourite spots too. Nice! Love the Chinese HP, too ...
